As more and more people become qualified with FCE, the CAE has emerged as the new qualification that sets people apart when they are looking to enter into competitive job markets. In fact, many multinationals companies are now looking for staff with an advanced level of English. This goes a long way to explaining the popularity of this course.
Although the structure of the exam is very similar to FCE, it is much more difficult and requires a higher level of study and immersion in order to gain a positive result. In this course I introduce additional materials in the form of texts and case studies from authentic sources like the BBC website and Sky news. The aim is to attain a much more detailed understanding of the language and produce cohesive arguments. I also introduce several new grammar points that are not explored at B2 level. Finally, there are a few creative exercises to build vocabulary and break the routine a little!
